近期，国内新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情牵动着海外师生、朋友的心。广大海外师生、国际友人纷纷行动，以各种方式支援国内抗击疫情工作，特别是我校部分国际合作伙伴在关键时期给予我校温情的慰问和物资捐赠，借此表示最诚挚的感谢！
就在国内防疫工作取得阶段性成果的同时，新冠肺炎疫情在海外的蔓延形势又再次牵动起大家的心。国内的父母、亲友焦急地与海外游子、朋友联络，叮嘱大家注意安全。学校也时刻挂念着每一位海外师生（包括所有出国交流师生、来华留学生、外籍教师）的健康平安，通过发函给合作高校等方式积极寻求对你们的帮助。
疫情当前，更需沉着应对。在此，学校温馨提醒：
1.保持沟通和联络。各国国情不同，采取的防控措施不同。请及时关注并自觉遵守当地政府发布的相关防控要求。中国师生还应密切关注中国驻所在国使领馆发布的留学人员相关公告，保持通讯畅通，并与国内亲人加强联络，共同分析应对。
2.加强自我防护。人员的集聚流动是流行病传播的加速器。火车站、汽车站、机场都是人员密集的公共场所，长途旅行容易给病毒入侵制造可乘之机。我们倡议大家尽可能留在原地和住所，取消或尽量减少异地出行计划。要学习知晓疫情防控知识，勤洗手、多通风、少外出、不集聚。不信谣、不传谣、不造谣，谨防各类诈骗。
3.所有来华留学生、外籍教师近期请暂缓回中国，具体可与学校留学生中心、国际处保持沟通。
4.在境外的中国师生因访学期限到期等原因近期确需回国的，应提前将回程信息和健康信息（健康码）告知所在二级学院（联系人员见附），提交报备手续，并及时告知属地镇（街道）、村（社区）。返程途中建议全程戴口罩，回国后请自觉配合属地疫情防控要求，接受有关隔离措施。

A "Family Letter" to Overseas Teachers and Students
from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology
Dear overseas experts, teachers and students,
Hope you are doing well!
Recently, the COVID-19 epidemic in China has greatly concerned overseas teachers, students and international friends who have contributed in various ways to the fight against the epidemic at home. We hereby would like to express our deepest gratitude, especially to our international partners for the letters of sympathy and material donations at this critical time.
At present, we have made some positive progress in the epidemic prevention and control at home. However, the epidemic has started spreading in many other countries in the world, which has raised our concern again. We know that your parents, relatives and friends must have been contacting you anxiously to ask you to take good care of yourselves. Please be assured that the university is also paying great attention and is highly concerned about the safety of every overseas teacher and student (including all the teachers and students of exchange programs, international students and foreign experts and teachers). We have been taking various measures to seek help for you, including contacting our partner universities.
To fight against the epidemic, we need to stay calm and clear-headed. Here are some reminders for you:
1. Keep in touch and keep informed. Since different countries have taken different measures to control the epidemic, please pay close attention to and consciously abide by the relevant prevention and control requirements issued by the local governments. Chinese teachers and students also need to pay attention to announcements about overseas scholars published by Chinese embassies and consulates, and make sure that you can be contacted without difficulty and keep in close contact with your families back home to tackle the problems together.
2. Enhance self-protection. The circulation of people in groups is the accelerator of the epidemic spread. As train stations, coach stations and airports are crowded public places, and long journeys can easily provide opportunities for virus invasion, we advise everyone to stay where you are and where you live and to cancel or minimize long-distance travel plans.
3. International students and foreign teachers are requested to postpone your return to China in the near future. Please contact our International Office and International Student Affairs Center for more details.
4. Overseas Chinese teachers and students who really need to return to China due to the expiry of the visiting period are required to inform the relevant schools of your return and the health information (health code) in advance (please see the contact information in the attachment). You also need to go through reporting procedures and to inform the local town (street) and village (community) in time. It is recommended that you should wear a mask during the return journey. After returning to China, please consciously abide by the local epidemic prevention and control requirements and the relevant quarantine measures.
The letter is too short to describe our concerns for you that we cannot let go. Wherever you are, hand in hand, heart by heart, we will always help and support each other and we will overcome difficulties together.
